The Best Canadian Ski Resorts that are RV Friendly

Winter is coming!

Are you looking for some fresh powder this winter? We have some fantastic RV friendly ski resorts for you!

Some of the best skiing/snowboarding is right here in Canada. The west coast boasts some of the top hills in the world and many top athletes love to train here in Canada because of the spectacular terrain. We totally understand if the first thing that comes to mind when you say "Ski Vacation" is a log cabin and hot chocolate by a fireplace but taking an RV to a resort is a great and affordable alternative.

Ski resorts are not known for being cheap, so taking your family in an RV is a great way to save some money, have more privacy and still enjoy the thrill of the hill. Some winter resorts offer free overnight RV parking and full hook-ups for small fee's.

Btw: If you looking for the best RV's for skiing, visit RVezy inventory. Depending on the size of your crew, you can find many options including anything from large Class A to mini travel trailers.

Mount Washington

Mount Washington is home to one of the most spectacular coastal alpine settings in North America. With the ocean as a backdrop on one side and strathcona park on the other it offers pristine conditions for you next Nordic adventure.

In the winter, up to 11 meters of snow annually, Mount Washington is home of Canada’s deepest pile. Mount Washington offers overnight parking for self-contained RV units on a first come, first serve basis for up to 3 nights. There is no water, sewer or power hookup, but it is free so bring a generator and experience this amazing mountain.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort

Since 2007, Revelstoke, Canada ski resort has offered the most vertical in North America of lift accessed terrain. The RMR includes over 3,121 acres of skiing, 4 alpine bowls, and over 69 named runs and areas.

Experience breath-taking views of Monashee Mountain, Columbia River, Montana and the Kokanee bowl, as you enjoy lift skiing, cat skiing or the adrenaline pumping heli skiing.

Revelstoke offers one night of complimentary camping for fully enclosed RV’s, so if you are just passing through it will make for a great day  adventure! Our bet is you will have to stay longer, which is okay because there are tons of surrounding campgrounds that offer winter camping.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

The champagne powder capital of Canada, KHMR is a mountain ski resort, a playground with something for everyone and brags that is the most RV friendly resort around.

While this resort doesn’t offer as many amenities as other resorts, overnight RV camping is free, so we believe it might be one of the best choices if you are not into spending a lot of money and want a winter vacation on a budget.

Fernie Alpine Resort

Fernie allows free overnight RV parking on fully enclosed RVs and if you are looking for long term hook-ups are available for a fee. These winter sites include power hookups, washrooms and additional parking, heck you can even ski right onto the Timber High Speed Quad from your door!

Algonquin Park

If you are looking for a more laid back adventure and cross country skiing and snowshoeing is more your speed then Algonquin park is a great choice to go Rving in the winter.

Campgrounds at Mew Lake Campground are offered all year long for less than $50.00/night and includes electrical hookup, winterized restrooms, showers and laundry facilities.

Ski. RV. Snowboard. RV. Repeat.
