Moraine Lake

Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake close to the Banff National Park. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 6,183 feet, reaches it's full crest around June. When it is full, it reflects a distinctive shade of blue and is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual base. As one of the most photographed locations in Canada, the most common trail taken by tourists is the RockPile Trail, which is along the lake, so don't forget you camera on your next road trip.
