This RV was perfect for our needs. We used in during the month of March and it kept us very warm and comfortable. I don’t drive a lot of long vehicles but this one was easy to drive and with the backup camera, it is super easy to maneuver. Tons of sleeping space, all the amenities, and systems needed to make for an enjoyable time! Would recommend this RV to anyone. Kristine and Mike were a pleasure to deal with.

No hesitation to recommend this RV. It drives well and is well equipped and comfortable, just as advertised. What stands out however is the owner's communication. They are quick to answer any questions and clearly want you to get the most out of your rental. They are also very reasonable and flexible in terms of pick up and drop off and any extra services you might need (septic, propane, etc.).

Vraiment belle roulotte propre et toute fonctionnelle

Felyx P. - Jun 2026

Frequently asked questions about campgrounds near Angers, QC

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Angers, QC?

An RV rental in Angers is an affordable way to explore the Outaouais. Peak summer rates (June through August) typically run $150-$250 CAD per night for travel trailers and smaller motorhomes, while larger Class A and Class C motorhomes range from $250-$400 CAD per night. Booking in May or September often saves 20-30%, and the fall colours along the Ottawa River are stunning in late September. For a cheap RV rental in Angers, use the price filter on RVezy and look for weekly discounts that many hosts offer. Weekday pickups are often cheaper than weekend ones.

What do I need to rent an RV in Angers, Quebec?

Renting an RV in Angers is refreshingly simple. You just need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and a regular Class 5 Quebec licence (or its equivalent from your home province, state, or country) is all you need to drive any RV on the RVezy platform. No special RV licence or commercial endorsement is required, since all rentals fall under the standard non-commercial weight limits. International visitors should grab an International Driving Permit (IDP) from their home auto association before flying in. RVezy verifies your ID through the platform during booking, so the whole process takes just a few minutes from your phone.

Is my RV rental in Angers protected if something goes wrong?

Yes. Every RV rental in Angers booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV, so you do not need to arrange separate coverage. At checkout you can choose between protection tiers with different coverage levels and deductibles to match your trip. Hosts do not set this, you do. Whether you are heading up Route 148 to Montebello or into Gatineau Park, you can focus on the trip with peace of mind.

What is the cancellation policy if my plans change?

Booking your Angers RV trip is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), so you see the same fair, transparent rules on every listing. There is a grace-period window after booking where you can cancel for a full refund, and beyond that refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel. RVezy reviews exceptional circumstances such as natural disasters or emergency road closures along Autoroute 50. If your plans shift, message your host first, many are happy to adjust dates when their calendar allows.

Can I bring my dog on an RV trip from Angers?

Yes, your pup is welcome on plenty of trips. Filter for a pet-friendly RV rental in Angers on RVezy and you will see motorhomes and trailers whose hosts welcome four-legged co-pilots (some ask for a small cleaning fee). Once on the road, the Outaouais is great for dogs: Lac Beauchamp Park in nearby Gatineau has off-leash zones, the Voyageurs Pathway along the Ottawa River is ideal for long leashed walks, and many sectors of Gatineau Park allow dogs on designated trails such as Lauriault and Pioneers. Bring a tie-out, a collapsible water bowl, and proof of rabies vaccination.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite near Angers?

Yes, and it's the easiest way to start your trip. Many Angers and Gatineau-area hosts offer RV delivery directly to your campsite, cottage, or driveway, so you never have to drive the rig yourself. Just select the Delivery filter when searching, then enter your destination, whether that's Camping Lac Leamy, the Gatineau Park campgrounds at Lac Philippe or Lac La Pêche, or a friend's place in Buckingham. Your host will tow or drive the RV in, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system. Delivery fees typically run $2-$4 per kilometre from the host's location, and it's a game-changer for first time renting an RV.

How far can I drive on an Angers RV rental, and what about mileage limits?

You will have plenty of room to roam. Most RV rentals in Angers include 100-200 free kilometres per day, which easily covers regional favourites like Montebello (60 km), Parc Omega (75 km), Mont-Tremblant (160 km), or Montreal (180 km). Need more freedom? Filter for an RV rental with unlimited mileage, or ask your host about an unlimited add-on (commonly $0.30-$0.45/km beyond the included limit). Planning a longer RV road trip from Angers, such as up the Lievre River valley toward Mont-Laurier (180 km) or out to Algonquin Park (250 km)? Message the host before booking and they can quote a fair flat-rate package.

Where are the best campgrounds near Angers, QC?

You're spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Angers sit within a 30-minute drive: Gatineau Park's Lac Philippe and Lac La Pêche campgrounds (run by the National Capital Commission) offer serviced and rustic sites in stunning forest; Camping Lac Leamy is a full-service urban park right on the river in Gatineau with hookups and a shuttle to the casino; Camping Ange-Gardien just north in L'Ange-Gardien is family-friendly with a pool; and Camping Plage Mousseau in Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette is a longtime local favourite on the Lièvre River. For a quick overnight, Domaine du Lac Vert in Buckingham (15 minutes east) is convenient and quiet.

When is the best time of year for an Angers RV trip?

Late May through mid-October is prime RV camping Angers season, with the absolute sweet spot being late June to early September when daytime highs hit 24-27°C and nights stay comfortably in the mid-teens. July and August are warmest (and busiest), while late September brings spectacular Gatineau Hills fall colours and cooler nights around 5-10°C, perfect for campfires. Spring (May) is quiet and green but can be buggy near lakes. Winters here are genuinely cold, often dipping to -20°C, so most hosts close their listings from November through April. Insider tip: aim for the third week of September for peak foliage and half-empty campgrounds.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

You've got this, and you won't be alone. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup (or at your campsite if you choose delivery), walking you through how to use the propane, water, awning, generator, slide-outs, and dump valves. Most Angers hosts will spend 30-60 minutes making sure you're comfortable before you drive off. Around here, smaller Class C motorhomes and travel trailers are a great first choice because Highway 148 and Autoroute 50 are wide and well-maintained. You can also message your host any time during the trip, and RVezy's customer support is just a tap away. By night two, you'll feel like a pro.

What if something breaks down on the road?

You are covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on Route 309, a dead battery at Lac Philippe, or a tow off Autoroute 50 is handled with one phone call. The roadside team can dispatch help anywhere in Quebec and Ontario, including rural stretches between Angers and Mont-Laurier. For RV-system issues (fridge, furnace, slide-out), your host is your first call since they know their rig best. RVezy support is reachable any time through the app. Pro tip: take photos of the RV at pickup so any pre-existing quirks are documented.

Can I take my Angers RV rental into Ontario or across the US border?

Crossing into Ontario is easy and built into most trips, since Angers is minutes from the Ottawa River and the bridges into Ottawa, Rockland, and Cumberland. Popular cross-border runs include Algonquin Provincial Park (about 3 hours), the Thousand Islands (about 2.5 hours), and Prince Edward County (about 4 hours). For trips into the United States, message your host first because it depends on their insurance, and many hosts allow it with advance notice. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental due to insurance coverage limits. Always carry your booking confirmation, driver's licence, and passport when crossing into the US.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

How much should I budget for fuel on an Angers RV trip?

Fuel is usually the second-biggest line item after the rental itself, but it's very manageable. Travel trailers don't burn extra fuel themselves, but your tow vehicle will drop to around 14-18 L/100km. Class C motorhomes average 18-22 L/100km, and big Class A motorhomes 25-30 L/100km. Gas in the Outaouais typically runs $1.55-$1.75 CAD/litre, with diesel a little higher. Fill up in Gatineau or Buckingham before heading into the Laurentians, where rural prices can jump 10-15 cents. For a typical 4-day, 600 km loop through Mont-Tremblant and back to Angers, budget roughly $200-$350 in fuel depending on RV size.
rncan.gc.ca/energy-sources/fossil-fuels/pricing/4593

How far ahead should I book campgrounds around Angers?

Book early and you'll have your pick. For summer weekends in Gatineau Park (Lac Philippe and Lac La Pêche), reservations open through the National Capital Commission in early spring and the best serviced sites are gone within days, especially around Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (June 24) and Canada Day. Sépaq parks like Parc national de Plaisance (45 minutes east) open reservations the previous winter, usually in January-February. For private campgrounds like Camping Lac Leamy or Camping Ange-Gardien, aim for 2-3 months ahead in summer, 2-3 weeks in shoulder season. Local tip: midweek nights are almost always available even in July, so plan a Tuesday-to-Thursday escape.

What are the driving conditions like around Angers?

Driving an RV around Angers is genuinely easy compared to most metro areas. Autoroute 50 runs right past town with two lanes in each direction and gentle grades, making it ideal for first-time RVers heading to Montreal or Montebello. Route 148 along the Ottawa River is scenic and flat. The Lièvre River route (Route 309) toward Mont-Laurier is more winding with some climbs, fun in a smaller rig, more demanding in a big Class A. Watch for spring potholes (May), summer construction zones, and the occasional deer at dusk. If you're nervous about urban driving in Ottawa or Montreal, skip it: just choose delivery and let your host position the RV at your campsite.

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Angers?

You'll have everything you need close to home. Most private campgrounds around Angers (Camping Lac Leamy, Ange-Gardien, Plage Mousseau) offer full hookups: 30-amp electrical, potable water fill, sewer connections, dump stations, hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, and propane refills on site. Gatineau Park's NCC campgrounds are more rustic, with non-serviced sites, vault toilets at Lac La Pêche, and shared water taps and dump stations near the main entrances. The closest public dump station for a quick stop is at Camping Lac Leamy in Gatineau. Pro tip: bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a 30-amp-to-15-amp adapter; they cover 95% of situations across Outaouais campgrounds.
ncc-ccn.gc.ca/places/lac-philippe-campground

What's included inside a typical RV rental in Angers?

You'll step into a fully-equipped home on wheels. A typical motorhome rental Angers comes with sleeping for 4-8 (queen beds, convertible dinettes, bunks), a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, three-burner propane stove, microwave, and sink, plus a bathroom with toilet and shower. Air conditioning, propane furnace, and seatbelted seats for travel are standard. Many hosts also include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, camping chairs, and basic kitchenware. A campervan rental Angers (Class B) is more compact but still has a bed, kitchenette, and often a wet bath. Wi-Fi and generators are common add-ons. Check each listing's amenity list, and message the host if something specific (like a coffee maker or BBQ) matters to you.

What add-ons can I get with my Angers RV rental?

Hosts in the Angers and Gatineau area offer extras that turn a good trip into a great one. Popular add-ons include kitchen and linen kits ($30-$75 flat), generator use ($3-$5/hour), bike racks, BBQs, camping chairs and tables, outdoor mats, and even kayaks or SUPs (perfect for the Lievre and Ottawa rivers). Pickup and drop-off windows are typically between 1-4 PM and 9-11 AM the next morning, often flexible if you ask. Mileage policies are listed clearly on each listing, with 100-200 free km/day standard. Review the listing's add-ons section before booking, and request anything extra in the message thread so it is locked in writing.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is smooth and secure through RVezy: you pay for the rental, protection plan, fees, and taxes by credit card at booking, with no cash changing hands with the host. A refundable security deposit (typically $500-$1,500 CAD depending on the rig) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, not charged, and released after return as long as the RV comes back in the same condition. To avoid hold-ups: do a thorough walkaround with your host at pickup and drop-off, return the RV with the fuel and propane levels noted in the agreement, and empty the black and grey tanks (or pay the dump fee, usually $50-$100).

What are the best road trip routes from Angers?

Angers is a launchpad for some of Quebec's most beautiful drives. A few favourites: the Route des Zingues run east on Route 148 to Montebello and Parc Omega (75 km), perfect for a weekend with kids; the Lièvre Valley loop north on Route 309 through Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette to Mont-Laurier (180 km), full of waterfalls and swimming holes; the Laurentians escape via Autoroute 50 west to Mont-Tremblant (160 km) for hiking and lakes; and the longer Algonquin crossing via Pembroke into Ontario (250 km) for moose-spotting and old-growth forest. Local insider tip: stop at Chocolaterie ChocoMotive in Montebello on your way home, it's an Angers RV trip tradition.
