TOM AND ERICKA - STILL MARRIED AFTER ALL OF THE CAMPER PARKING
HE HAD AN IDEA. SHE SAID "LET"S DO THIS!"
When we were a bit younger (and actually had the time and energy), we would take advantage of opportunities for little getaways with the kids in our camper. As life happens, the kids grew up and lost interest, we had less time, less motivation, and a lot less patience. Prepping the camper for just us to go away was a chore we didn't want. So, our little Rockwood (the "OG") literally became a piece of the driveway. Tom had the brilliant idea to rent her to families, so at least she was being useful to someone for something.
While we kicked around this idea, we thought about all of the negatives pertaining to the camping experience as a whole. We hated the coordinating, the packing, the shopping, the set-up situation, tear-down, laundry, forgetting things, etc. We solidly agreed that rather than have anyone else risk their sanity, safety, or relationships, we would eliminate as much of the stress so folks could just enjoy their time together instead of starting out their first day in a bad mood. Even though our camper was 10+ years old at that time, she was as comfortable as a favorite sweater and still had a lot to offer. After all, it was definitely better than sleeping in tents!
