Hi there!
My name's Walt and I'm the proud owner of Bonnie. My partner and I were fascinated with #vanlife after much time spent going down some deep youtube rabbit holes.
We finally bought and renovated Bonnie in 2020 and have loved the journey so far. Bonnie's allowed us to access adventure in BC, across Canada, and the US in some truly special ways. We've been able to explore remote areas feeling comfortable and secure, see family, and take in incredible experiences.
I'm excited to share Bonnie with the world and help fellow adventurers create memories of their own!

- Puru C.sept. 2024We had a wonderful couple of weeks travelling in Bonnie. She was very well equipped overall and really comfortable. Walt, the owner, was also very friendly and communication with him was great. The only difficulty we had was having just a little one burner stove to cook on.
- Davis G.août 2024Our trip with Bonnie was a great experience. Very comfortable sleep. Great reliable vehicle. Lots of electricity while the vehicle was parked. Charged our phones, provided light, fridge is a great addition that kept our food and drink cold. Fan was surprisingly useful throughout the hot summer nights. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer host in Walt. Excellent communication, very honest and all around great human being. Would recommend Bonnie for your travels! 10/10
- Jos Pieter V.juil. 2024We very much enjoyed our trip with Bonny. We drove almost 4400 km without any issues. Especially the possibility to go completely off grid is great. With the water facilities, ventilation and solar power we were truly independent. The bed sleeps very comfortably. We received very good instructions and advice.
- Gemma E.juin 2024Highly recommend renting Bonnie for your next adventure in Canada. The van had everything you need and if you ever had any questions Walt and Christine answered straight away.Definitely will rent again next time I’m in Canada
- Pam M.sept. 2023It was a dream to take Bonnie out for a spin in the BC Mountains! Walt and Christine were so responsive in their pre-pickup communications and documented everything with videos, checklists, and Tips and Tricks that I didn't even consider. Walt was very helpful in exploring options around power and amperes for a sleep aid I needed to power overnight which was likely an uncommon request. The kitchen had everything we needed to allow us to be off-grid for a couple of days. The bedroom and bedding was the comfiest and best I've slept whilst away from home, it was warm and cozy and was large enough to accommodate my 6 ft 1" tall husband and me, without us elbowing each other at night. We under-utilized the storage space available in the van but could see the value of it for longer trips! We had the best time and we would look to rent out Bonnie again for longer trips in the future!
- Leigh M.sept. 2023Livré par l’hôteWe had the trip of a lifetime in Bonnie!!! The van was equipped with everything we needed and we didn’t have any issues. The bed is very big and comfy too. Fridge worked perfectly, we never ran out of solar/ power and it was easy to charge phones and electronics. The van is also equipped with a huge water tank which made going off grid a lot easier without having to worry about where we’d source potable water from. Walt had amazing communication and was always available to contact if required.
- Courtney A.août 2023My husband and I had such a great experience renting Bonnie for 15 nights from Walt and Christine. Communication was really great - We are 2 Aussies visiting Canada for the first time so we definitely had lots of questions, but Walt was super patient and responsive the whole time. And on our return of the van after we mentioned we had enjoyed several breweries on our trip, Walt even drove us into Port Moody and introduced us to the various craft breweries in the area! Absolute champion. Bonnie had everything we needed for our trip. We did 3,000 km on a round trip from Vancouver to Salmo, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Lillooet, Whistler, Squamish and back to Vancouver. The van comes with everything you need - fridge & freezer, coffee makers, cutlery, plates, cooking utensils, tupperware, two gas stoves (one butane, one propane), even a collection of herbs/spices to use in cooking. The absolute (surprise) highlight for us though was the bed. Most campers have average mattresses at best but the bed was honestly comfier than most hotel beds we've slept in, with high quality pillows and linen too. Exactly what we needed after all the days hiking and adventuring! The van drove really well and we thought was surprisingly fuel efficient for its size. We went off grid for 5 days no problem - the solar panel and backup batteries provide plenty of power. She has a big water tank we only had to fill twice, loooaaaddds of storage space, and power outlets attached to an inverter. There is an external shower available (cold water) but we didn't end up needing to use it as most campsites we stayed at had shower facilities anyway. Can't fault our experience. If we ever return to Canada again, we would not hesitate to rent Bonnie again for our next adventure!
