I would exercise extreme caution prior to renting to this guest, in addition to lying about the use of the trailer and signaling that they would NOT be hunting with it, he upon return, indicated he had in fact illegally hunted and fished with it (a warning to other renters, as if anyone is caught illegally hunting, all of the property present can be seized), indicated that he had purged the grey tank, to which, when we went over to check, it had not been purged, had signaled that there was NO plan to use the propane or black tank but had (and thankfully, I had proactively charged the dumping and repayment fee), had been asked to ensure, when transporting the water tanks were empty but left it full upon return, failed to properly close the awning and the bank loaded bunk window (resulting in potential damage). In addition, he incessantly messaged throughout his trip to complain that he had to refill his generator, which should have been planned for as he had signalled at the onset that there was no electricity and he had planned to use the generator, propane and his deep cycle battery. This is the first time in close to 3 years where we’ve had a negative experience with a guest, but I would strongly caution anyone to reconsider renting to him or anyone who is looking to rent on his behalf.
