My wife and I took our two boys on a weeklong trip through Sequoia, King's Canyon, and Yosemite National Parks. The RV was a nice change from the normal back seat of our car for the kids and it made camping in the parks very convenient. It drives fairly well for a large vehicle and we had no major issues with any of the features. Melanie was very responsive to the few things that did come up and we had a great week. For planning purposes, I got about 8 mpg over the week, but that included many mountain climbs in the various parks, so it will probably be better on flatter highways.

My friends and I enjoyed renting Melanie and Dustin’s RV. It had everything you needed an more! When we had a question about the RV they responded quickly, they both were very helpful through the entire trip. As a first timer this was a great experience for my partner and I. The RV was clean and ready to go when we went to grab it. It drove pretty well, it may take some to getting used to if you are not used to driving a large vehicle. Make sure to take wide turns for the safety of the mirrors. The RV also did well on gas mileage, and that is pretty important now days. I would recommend to rent from these awesome folks! Melanie was an amazing host to work with. She truly cared about our trip. She was attentive to all our needs and the RV was in very good shape.

We had a wonderful 10-day trip from Las Vegas to Yosemite then down the PCH 1 to L.A. and then back to Vegas. Check-in and out with Melanie was hassle-free and we had no issues with the RV other than that which was our own fault. Here are some tips for this RV: 1.) The fridge runs on battery or propane. It says auto but that is really battery. If you are driving, make sure to switch it to propane or you may drain the battery and not be able to start the generator. 2.) The lazyboy is a recliner chair. We figured this out on the last day. 3.) Both driver and passenger mirrors tend to sag when you close the doors and will need to be readjusted at the start of every drive. 4.) The toilet is pushdown for flush and pull-up to fill. If you keep a little water in the bowl it will keep the smell out :) 5.) Here is a great YouTube instructional video for a similar RV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbk6LkZ6d9E 6.) With gas at $5-$6 per gallon, we averaged about $0.75 per mile in fuel cost - yikes! But worth every penny. Hope these tips help you enjoy this RV as much as we did! The Hamer Family.
