As a first time renter of a travel trailer, my experience was not that great and this will more than likely be the last time I rent one. Here is the good and the bad my experience. Brandon was very communicable and did a great job of going over the trailer when I picked it up. He included sway bars and the proper hitch for me to use. The trailer itself was as advertised and everything worked. My family and I (wife and two little girls) camped up north and when we returned the trailer, I looked it over with a colleague of Brandon's (he was not available) and he would do the more thorough inspection later. He found there was a small puncture from a branch on the top that happened when I was getting to the site but he also found the awning had a 3-4" rip on the front where it attached to the trailer. The rip was there or happened when I opened it fully at the campsite but that could not be confirmed because we didn't open it to inspect when I picked up. An insurance claim has been filed and we are working through that. I will be getting additional repair quotes depending on what my financial obligations are. My advice for renting a travel trailer is to go over as much as possible beforehand, especially the awning and take pictures before you leave from pickup and when you get to your site. While I, the renter, have a level of responsibility for bringing the trailer back as it was rented, there will always be a level of wear and tear that you can't expect every renter to be accountable for. The damages in my opinion were minor but my $600 rental for two nights of camping could turn into $2,000 or more. To be fair, we enjoyed using a travel trailer to take our daughters camping for the first time, but given the headache it is just not worth it for me personally.
