We had an amazing time with the Kalvan!! The perfect little van to take us on our dream road trip out west. The owner was accommodating, responsive and helpful. If you’re a student on a budget, don’t hesitate anymore!!

We had an amazing time with the van! We continued to say how perfect it was for 2 gals. We felt safe & it was a perfect size for us to navigate. Had everything we wanted/needed, no better way to explore Banff 😊

Really nice and accommodating owners. The van itself is pretty tight in the front seat and if you are tall and driving to your legs are pretty crammed and awkward to drive and brake. The car could be maintained, cleaned and smell better when first picked up from owners. Car doesn’t accelerate well but drives well overall. Having said all of this, if you are tight on budget and want something that will give you freedom of mobility to sleep anywhere you want than this is a definite choice that will do the job and get you through the trip.

Though not exactly as advertised, Kelvin's Kalvan was sufficient, fun, and the adventure wagon we were looking for.

Honestly the best experience! Would highly recommend, if you’re needing an extra push to book let this be it. The van is amazing, great on gas, equipped with everything you need (chairs, stove, heater, fan, propane, shade, an extremely comfortable bed etc). Most importantly Kelvin and Alia are amazing, very quick to respond, helpful, and caring. Coming from Ontario we were nervous about getting around, yet the van and it’s contents made it so easy! We will definitely be back next summer!

Overall, we had a really good time on our trip and the Van worked great to get us from A to B in the Rockies and was an easy "park and setup is done" at campsites. Pick up and drop off was very easy, the owners were very kind and let us park our personal vehicle at their house while we had the van. Price is good for what you're getting, especially compared to other rental RVs. Van is nice and compact so you can get through most switchbacks in the Rockies. A/C blows cold at the front of Van, while it is running. Starlink was very useful and worked every we went! Kitchen area is pre-stocked with tons of spices, cutlery, plates, pots, pans and etc... Sink worked great and lots of water storage in the RV. Gray water drained a little slow but the tank is very large. Bed is huge and very comfortable! There were a few things that weren't really working on the van, most notable was water heater. The first time we turned it on it blew the breaker and messed up something on the van circuit board. This caused none of the outlets to work and the van kept turning off and on trying to charge the battery. The morning this happened, we were delayed ~3 hours and troubleshooting cut into our day. Should be noted that the owner did come out later in the day, met us and quickly fix the issue which was great! He said the water heater should work fine now, but to avoid any further issues/delays we didn't use it for the rest of the trip. The toilet and shower are kind of a hassle to use so we just used the ones at the campsites we were at. You should also note that the induction stove is just a propane stovetop That we used outside the Van only. When the van is not running it does not have A/C, so nights were hot but turning the ceiling fan on to blowout hot air throughout the day helps a lot! We also bought a small fan and that helped a lot too.

Sadly Not like advertised at all, the rental did not come with the shower that was advertised for periods over 7 nights( rented for 2 weeks) It did not come with any tent attachments to expand the space. It did come with a wet tarp that caused mold and made it hard to breathe at night or extended driving periods. The seatbelts barely covered our bodies as they were very short and we were unable to move while driving. The seats are not adjustable at all, being tall or slightly on the larger side means it can be a very uncomfortable drive. The bed itself was comfortable however was extremely tight and the cubbies above the bed were very sharp and close to the head area. The rental had trouble going up hills faster than 70km/hr. Make sure you double check that all the amenities are actually included before leaving as the propane was also empty. Overall it did its job and was better than a tent but the negatives definitely out weighted the positives in a lot of ways.
