- Denise & Steve B.août 2019Thank you Tara, we hope even though there was a freak storm with crazy hail that your sons had a good time camping in Entwistle, you have very nice boys by the way when I got to meet them, they said they had fun so that's what matters in my heart and I think that's sweet you did that for them but we do wish the weather would've been nicer for you guys. We checked everything out and because of the slide being open and the freak storm with crazy wind and hail and rain that is what caused the small leak coming in which is absolutely no fault of you, everything looked good on the roof except the hail cracked the skylight above the shower, which again is no fault to you, so that's the only thing we can think of since it came in that area where the slide was open but we will keep an eye on it and next time it rains to ensure it's not coming from somewhere else with the slide closed so thank you for letting us know. We got tennis ball size hail in Spruce Grove so it was a nasty storm that's for sure. Thank you for ensuring the awing was closed whenever the wind picked up, we appreciate you and your family being so attentive to that to ensure of no damage. I heard everyone camping had to get towed out of the campsite by the campsite staff because it was a mud pit so I can just imagine the mud but you brought back the RV nice and clean inside so I really appreciate that and I'm sure it wasn't fun having to keep cleaning it up so thank you again. The outside shower there is a button you have to press in on the shower head to get it to work, I always go through everything before the RV goes out and it was working then but I thought when you told me upon drop off I would check as you never know, things can happen but it was working so I wish you would've reached out to us as we could've told you to push the button on the outside shower head instead of thinking it didn't work or that there was a problem with the RV which would've been helpful with all the mud, we don't mind being contacted anytime as RV's can be confusing sometimes to understand how it works and I know as I was there once too as a newbie to RV'ing and everyone's unit is a bit different so other campers sometimes aren't the best to ask for help when you can contact us. We also filled the fresh water tank which filled full no problem and turned on the water pump and had absolutely no problems with anything at all, the inside shower worked good, the toilet, everything had good pressure (if you hear air bubbles then the fresh water tank needs to be refilled) and there were no leaks underneath the unit so maybe the campsite wasn't completely level and that's just what it looked like perhaps from filling the fresh water tank which spills over when full on our unit, hard to tell with us not being at the campsite but definitely no leaks or issues there while I ran the shower and checked everything inside and underneath but I do appreciate you letting me know of anything as that's how we know to check it out and be pro-active as things do break down and I appreciate the feedback. We will take it out ourselves for another trip before the next rental to double check again. I apologize for my husband getting upset at your husband upon return about leaving the water pump on while travelling even though he advised not to, everything is ok and it's easy to forget to do everything when starting out so no worries there and luckily no damage done. I think you were worried we were going to charge you damage out of your damage deposit because of the water pump being left on (with no fresh water in the fresh water tank there's no pressure which can cause the water pump to run continuously but there was still enough water left in the lines from using it on the weekend and not running the taps or toilet when travelling that the water pump wasn't continuously running trying to pressurize the system which can cause the water pump fuse to blow, burn out the water pump or the water pump switch). We went over everything and thankfully no harm done, we just have to write it down on the form in case of further damages that we would have to fix so it wasn't meant to upset anybody as until we can take a few hours to go over everything we don't know until we get a chance to check but it does need to be noted so I apologize that wasn't communicated that way and caused upset but all is well so thankfully no additional charges which is always nice not to have to do. I hope you have a enjoyable rest of your summer and I'm glad at least the kids got to chill out in the bunk and watch movies and if you ever go camping again I wish you much better and nicer weather!
