The trailer was booked for two adults only, however there had been four adults occupying the trailer. The renter did not arrange a time to return the trailer even though requested to do so, the trailer was parked outside our property and the renter left. On entering the tailer I found the fire alarm which was secured to the ceiling was smashed on the floor. There were blood splatters on the walls and on the double bed sheets, there was a huge hole in the bathroom door and the whole door needs to be replaced but as it is being rented out again, we have had to complete a temporary repair to avoid possible injury from the sharp open wood. The bathtub was covered thick in dirt and oil, most of which I managed to remove with soaking in bleach and then scrubbing with Vim but is now stained in areas, the shower curtain had to be thrown away due to oil stains. T-towel was thrown in bath, had scorch marks and also covered in oil this had to be thrown away. The black water tank was 2/3 full even though they were expressly told that it needs to be empty. They emptied the grey water only and we had to connect the trailer and drive to a sani-dump to empty and rinse the black water tank out. Stove top coffee pot was found in the back of the cupboard, handle missing and the inside was badly burnt. I tried to clean this but it the burnt smell inside was too strong so needed to buy a new one. The cushions from the dining table have small burn holes in them and one has a large foot print on the back of it which I cannot remove. The outside door fastener has been pulled out of its housing and lost. The list goes on... We called the renter who did return rather embarrassed but then his girlfriend brushed off all the damage and spoke with utter disrespect for me and my property. I spent two days stripping, scrubbing and sanitizing the trailer, I had to buy new bedding, fire alarm, coffee pot etc. Very bad experience!
