Camping has been a major part of my/our lives. I grew up in a rural area near the northwest corner of Algonquin park...huntcamps, trapshacks, and summer camping at Mikisew prov park. Then came travelling (not so much camping for a while) - After university, I got into concert touring (audio tech), and have travelled across Canada many, many times over 12+ years - usually in the truck (DZ license), and a couple times on the bus, and a dozen or so runs/shows in various parts of the US. Finally got married, got off the road, adopted 2 beautiful girls, and camping came back into our lives. We are self-sufficient, with the exception of the camper itself. Ownership + storage costs simply would be more than a rental or 2 each year. Our prime trip each year is "Fam Jam", when all my siblings and parents come together for one big campout!
