My husband Chris and I bought our RV because we wanted a way to escape the noise of the city and reconnect with what really matters — time together, surrounded by nature. Last year, we packed up our dog and two cats and set off on a two-week camping trip through British Columbia, tucked into a spot surrounded by mountains, forest, and wildlife. It was, hands down, one of the most relaxing trips I've taken in years — and it reminded us just how much we wanted other families (furry members included!) to experience that same sense of peace and adventure. That's why we started renting out our RV. We handle all the maintenance, and behind the scenes preparation, so when you pick up the keys, everything is ready to go. The host was very good. Communication with Trisha was very good. The hot water tank did not work so cold showers and the fridge did not get cold until the next day.

The owner was very good with communication, delivery, and working with us when we had an issue, so I do want to give her credit for that. She was responsive and came to pick the trailer up when we explained that we could not stay in it. Unfortunately, the trailer itself was very disappointing and was not what we expected based on the listing. As soon as it was delivered, there was an extremely strong cigarette smoke smell inside. Nowhere in the listing did it state that this was a smoking trailer or that it had been smoked in. The smell was so strong that after spending only one night in it, our family had headaches and felt unwell, and we did not feel comfortable staying in it any longer. The trailer also did not appear to have been properly cleaned before it was delivered. I ended up cleaning it myself, and the wipes were coming away black and brown after wiping down surfaces. The microwave had food splattered inside, and when we swept the trailer, we picked up wads of animal hair. For the amount we paid, I definitely expected the trailer to be much cleaner and better prepared for guests. Again, the owner herself was very pleasant to deal with, communicated well, and was accommodating when we asked to have the trailer picked up. However, I do think the listing should clearly disclose the strong cigarette smoke smell, and the trailer needs a much more thorough cleaning between rentals. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke or are looking for a very clean, non-smoking trailer, I personally would not recommend this one.
