We always try to be very transparent about the capabilities of our Winnebago Roam so guests can plan the best trip possible. In this case we explained on three separate occasions that the van is designed for campground or shore power use and is not equipped for boondocking. This was discussed during our initial phone conversation, during the in person walkthrough we provided about a week before the rental, and again when we delivered the van early so the renters could get comfortable with the setup. The van does not have a generator or solar system because the design allows space for a future under-van wheelchair lift, which is an accessibility feature we are working toward. While the van works wonderfully for campground travel, the refrigerator, outlets, and microwave require shore power.
