Fantastic trip with Miss Retro! We rented Miss Retro for three nights during Thanksgiving to camp with friends in Olema CA - everything g was great! The van is well equipped for two, with a generous sized bed and well set up kitchen. The van was cozy for sleeping and hanging out and we prepped gravy and potatoes on the inside stove burners / Maria and Isaac were great hosts, communicative, friendly and everything was as described.

Isaac and Maria are excellent hosts. They explained and showed us everything about the van, both inside and out. They delivered it with absolutely everything you needed; you just need to bring your clothes. My wife and I made the trip to Death Valley and then to Zion National Park, and the van behaved better than a new vehicle. But the best of all is its excellent fuel economy, as well as the comfort due to its large interior space, where everything is properly located. It definitely gets a 100 out of 100.

Curt is a very accommodating host who did everything to make our experience the best it could be. The unit has lots of bells and whistles. Great refrigerator with freezer! Huge sliding drawer for storage accessible from inside or out.

We Love Miss Retro! Her hosts Maria and Isaac are also wonderful and extremely accommodating. We felt so taken care of, with all the well thought out amenities and accoutrements. We went the distance with her and it was smooth sailing the whole way. Easy to drive, clean, comfortable, organized and styling. Can’t wait to take her out again, Thank you so much!

Had a great experience with Isaac and Maria, as well as Miss Retro herself. The van has a few kinks and quirks but she's solid. No engine or vehicle trouble, built like a steakhouse but handles like a bistro. Maxes out at 80 MPH, uses diesel, I got around 15 mpg when I was averaging 65 on the freeway. Never took her offroading, just some dirt/gravel roads - she handled the bumpier ones faily well. The stereo system is radio and CDs, they put a bluetooth-to-FM radio transmitter which works ok, but the quality isn't great. A few minor issues here and there with the living space: ceiling fan cut out one night (came back an hour later), TV speakers cut out and come back every few minutes, indoor shower head got clogged. Fridge doesn't quite cool at level 3, but maxed at level 5 does well. Not a lot of USB ports or outlets for charging in the back, gotta do it up front. The converted bed isn't the most comfortable (obviously), and we had an issue with the smaller cushions slipping out of the middle (you use the seat cushions to make up part of the 'mattress').. I think there might actually be a way to reposition it so that doesn't happen. Some of the windows get a bit stuck when closing and have to be finessed. A side panel came off due to the heat. Sometimes drawers (or the fridge door!) would open on hard breaks or turns. So, you know, she's not a brand new luxury model, she's Miss Retro. And if you're setting out for adventure and you're ready to get rough and tumble, she's your gal. I liked the 360* windows that come with pulldown blinds around the bed/living area. Having a fridge for cold drinks and keep stuff from melting in the summer heat was much appreciated. AC up front worked well, in the back is powerful too if you're willing to run the generator. High ceiling allows a 5'11" guy to stand up fully (just watch the storage cabinets on either side). Outdoor shower was a fun option for summer (there's a nice waterproof plastic/foam mat you can bring out and use). You've got a couple half-empty drawers, a cabinet, and a mini-closet worth of storage space that isn't used. Bottom line: she's small enough to pull into regular parking spaces, and much easier to handle in tight spaces than a different class of RV. Despite that, she's got enough room for a bed for two people, an indoor shower and flushable toilet. Isaac and Maria did a great job stocking the van with amenities. Everything we needed plus a few things we didn't think of. Camping chairs, portable stove and table, plenty of thoughtful kitchen gear, cleaning supplies, emergency/utility stuff, sheets, towels, blankets, hammock, DVDs, the list goes on. They are also a couple of chill dudes, with an attitude that fits well to the relaxed #vanlife lifestyle. Good clear communication, understanding about issues, got back to me quickly when I had questions.
