Robert is an excellent host. He took the time - of our choosing - to do the rental handover and explained everything about the RV in understandable terms. He let us video this, so we could refer to it if we needed - most appreciated. His RV was as excellent as advertised and very very good. Robert had also let himself be available to us if we were to have difficulties during our holidays. This was much appreciated, but it was also not needed as the RV was in top condition. I would definitely recommend Robert and his RV - as a matter of fact, I have already recommended it to a friend.

Punchline: If you are not a beginner RV’er, I would recommend renting this RV with the caveats below. If you are a beginner RV’er (like us), there will be a lot of challenges you will face, and it might be better to start with something ‘simpler’. The owner is not an RV expert but is super nice and tries to solve the problems as best as he can. Advice: Ensure you are comfortable with operating without working tank sensors (for fresh water, gray tank and black tank), or ensure it’s working before renting (especially if you plan to boondock a lot). Be prepared that there may be ‘glitches/gremlins’. If you plan to travel long distances, think about the limitations with this rental. 140 km (87.5 mi) / day is not very far, especially if you plan to travel and visit multiple places. If you don’t plan to go far and plan to stay ‘camped’ in one spot for long periods of time, then it may not be a big deal. For us, it was not enough, but the owner was kind enough to discount the ‘overage’ due to some of the issues we had with the RV. Our Background: Previously to this rental, we had rented a 2021 LTV Wonder Rear Lounge (Ford-based gas) back in April, 2024 for 2 nights, 3 days, and were fully hooked up. The owner walked me through various aspects of the RV and made me physically drive the RV (to get comfortable with the size) do the hook-ups myself (he instructed, I did it). He spent about 2+ hours with us going through everything. This Rental: We had rented for 14 nights and 15 days, the 2023 LTV Unity Rear Lounge (Mercedes-based Diesel). The owner Quang Vinh Thuy Le was extremely polite, nice, and spent about an hour doing a walk-through with us (my wife video taped it so we could reference it later as it was a lot of information to take in). Through this trip, we spent 4 nights ‘camping’ where we had all three hook-ups (electricity, fresh water, and waste hook-up) ; we spent 10 nights ‘boondocking’ where we ran off the chassis’ electricity, water in tank, and holding tanks for gray (shower/sinks) and black (bathroom). The owner was relatively available to us, using WhatsApp he responded somewhere between minutes and 48 hours (+/-). He self-admits not to be an expert either, so he relied on Facebook forums for help (which later we started doing ourselves during our trip). At all times, he was super nice and pleasant !!! Issues we had and their impact (you may view them differently in terms of impact - based on your level of experience). There were 3 that were impactful to us : - 3 tank sensors broken (fresh water, gray, black). This makes it difficult to manage boondocking since you can not tell how much fresh water you have left, nor how full the gray and black tanks are. - Fridge in DC mode not-working. The fridge works in one of three modes (automatically) : AC (when you have electricity at the camp site), DC (when you are driving, it uses a battery to power the fridge), Propane (when your ignition is off). The AC and Propane mode worked very well, the freezer was very cold and the fridge as well. However, the DC mode did not work. With our daily long drives, in the first couple of days, we discovered this as things started to melt and the fridge went ‘warm’. Work around was to always using Propane mode, unless fully docked (then use AC mode). - Cruise Control / Driver Assist features stopped working for a few days. This eventually resolved itself (magically), but for long drives, this can turn a not-so-bad driving experience, into a much more ‘tiring’ driving experience. There were lesser impactful issues, which I will not list for brevity's sake. I will provide this to the owner so he can get them fixed. Things we did not use, so have no comments: - Owner provided a lot of amenities (outdoor table, butane stove, tables, carpets, etc. ) We only used their double chair a couple of times, it was very nice to use. - Generator (we were told the AC needs it and the microwave) - Microwave - AC - TV’s Sorry for the long write-up. I try to be pretty thorough.
