July and August bring the warmest temperatures, reliable sunshine, and warm enough lake water for swimming, making them the most popular months for RV camping. June and September are strong shoulder-season choices with fewer crowds, cooler hiking conditions, and easier reservation availability. Spring and late fall can be wet in the Squamish area, and some services at the campground are reduced outside the main operating season. Reservations fill quickly for summer weekends, so booking well in advance is recommended.

The Four Lakes Trail is a forested loop connecting all four lakes in the park. The roughly 6 km route passes through Douglas fir, western red cedar, and other coniferous and deciduous trees, and is typically accessed from the Stump Lake parking lot or the Alice Lake south beach area. bcparks.ca/alice-lake-park/hiking/
DeBeck's Hill is a steep climb to a panoramic viewpoint above the park. It is a fairly strenuous hike that climbs roughly 274 metres from the trailhead and is approximately 3 km round trip. At the top, you will find a spectacular view of the ice-capped Tantalus Range to the west and Mount Garibaldi to the east. bcparks.ca/alice-lake-park/hiking/
Alice Lake's sandy south and north beaches are the centerpiece of the day-use area. The lake warms up enough for comfortable swimming in midsummer, and grassy picnic areas with tables sit just behind the sand. The easy loop trail around the lakeshore is ideal for an evening stroll after setting up camp. bcparks.ca/alice-lake-park/
Alice Lake connects to the extensive Squamish-area mountain bike network. Mountain biking is permitted on certain trails and park roadways, with details shown on the park map. The section of Four Lakes Trail between Edith Lake and Alice Lake and the trail around Alice Lake are permanently closed to cycling, and the remainder of Four Lakes Trail is closed to cycling between May 1 and September 15. bcparks.ca/alice-lake-park/
Fishing opportunities are available in all four lakes for rainbow trout, Dolly Varden, and some cutthroat. A valid British Columbia freshwater fishing licence is required, and fishing is prohibited in the designated swim areas as marked by the swim lines. bcparks.ca/alice-lake-park/
Alice Lake is a calm, motor-free lake ideal for canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards, with paddle sport services available during the summer months. Rentals are also available in nearby Squamish for visitors who do not travel with their own craft. Early mornings offer the calmest water and best reflections of the surrounding mountains. bcparks.ca/alice-lake-park/
Alice Lake is a practical RV base for exploring nearby Garibaldi Provincial Park, where overnight camping at the Garibaldi Lake parking lot is prohibited. Day hikes from the Rubble Creek and Diamond Head trailheads are within an easy drive, and RVs should stay at Alice Lake since the Garibaldi trailhead lots are not suitable for overnight RV use. bcparks.ca/garibaldi-park/

This was the perfect RV rental for us as we had owned one this same size and features. The host was attentive and helpful through the entire process. The RV is in good shape and exactly how we expected. Definitely the right person to rent from. We had one small problem and they responded immediately with a solution. Can’t go wrong renting this unit.

Alice Lake Provincial Park, BC, Canada
From Vancouver, the drive is roughly 70 km north on Highway 99, the Sea to Sky Highway, and takes about one hour depending on traffic. The park sits about 13 km north of Squamish and 71 km north of the Lions Gate Bridge in North Vancouver, with Whistler approximately 50 km further north. Highway 99 includes long mountain grades, sharp curves, and sections of exposed cliffside driving between Horseshoe Bay and Squamish, so RV drivers should check brakes, watch posted truck advisories, and travel in daylight when possible. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Vancouver International Airport (YVR), about 100 km to the south.
