Best time to visit Black Rock Mountain State Park

Late April through June and September through early November are the top windows for RV travel. Spring brings mountain laurel, rhododendron, and wildflowers, while fall delivers vivid color with cooler, drier air and fewer bugs. Summer stays noticeably cooler than the Georgia lowlands thanks to the elevation, but weekends fill fast and afternoon thunderstorms are common. Winter is quiet and scenic, though snow, ice, and steep approach roads can make access challenging for larger rigs.
