July and August are the most popular months, with warm, dry weather ideal for swimming, tubing, and riverside camping. Late June and early September offer a quieter shoulder season with lower river levels that expose a larger beach and create calmer swimming pools. Spring freshet in May and June can bring high, fast water, so river activities require caution. The campground operates seasonally, so RV travelers should confirm opening dates before planning an off-season trip.

The park's day-use area features a large sandy beach reached by concrete stairs from the parking lot. After spring freshet, rocky bluffs that jut into the river create a quiet pool that is popular for swimming. There are no lifeguards and no swim buoys, so swimmers should judge the current carefully. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/bromley_rock/index.html
Tubing is popular at Bromley Rock, with a downstream float route that leads toward Stemwinder Provincial Park. Water levels and current strength vary through the season, so a shuttle vehicle and sturdy tubes are recommended. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/bromley_rock/index.html
Short hikes in and around the park lead to viewpoints over the Similkameen Valley and the rock bluff that gives the park its name. Trails are informal and best suited to sturdy footwear. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/bromley_rock/index.html
The day-use area sits west of the campground along the Similkameen River and includes 19 picnic tables plus a 29-car parking lot. Large Douglas fir provide shade on hot summer days, and there are pit toilets on site. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/bromley_rock/index.html
Bromley Rock is a traditional First Nations fishing site on the Similkameen River, and anglers still cast here today. A valid BC freshwater fishing licence is required, and regulations for the Similkameen system should be checked before fishing. bcparks.ca/bromley-rock-park/
Hedley sits about 15 km east of the park and is a compact historic mining community with a museum and the Mascot Mine on the cliffs above town. It makes an easy half-day outing for RV travelers based at Bromley Rock. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/bromley_rock/index.html
Princeton lies roughly 21 km west on Highway 3 and is the nearest full-service community for groceries, fuel, and a dump station. The town also offers riverfront walking trails and a local museum for a half-day break from camp. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/bromley_rock/index.html

My husband and I rented from Perry for 8 nights. We had such a great time in his trailer, it was spacious, clean, well cared for, had everything we needed. Perry is excellent with communication and any question we had, he answered promptly.

Julie and Keith were amazing at communicating even when I ran into a problem late at night. They were super helpful. Everything worked amazing on the trailer and there was an amazing amount of water for the four days we had it.

Bromley Rock Provincial Park, BC, Canada
The park sits directly on Highway 3 (the Crowsnest Highway), about 21 km east of Princeton and roughly 15 km west of Hedley. From Hope, it is roughly a 2 hour drive east over the Hope-Princeton section of Highway 3, which climbs the Cascade Mountains and includes the Sunday Summit pass near 1,282 m, so RV drivers should expect steep grades, tight curves, and possible winter chain-up zones. Kelowna is about a 2.5 hour drive east via Highways 97 and 3A. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Kelowna International Airport (YLW), with Vancouver International (YVR) about 3.5 to 4 hours west.
