Cold Lake Provincial Park is accessed via Highway 28, located 3 kilometres east of Cold Lake city in northeastern Alberta near the Saskatchewan border. Edmonton, the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent options, lies approximately 295 kilometres south, approximately 3 hours drive. The park access road is well-maintained and RV-friendly with no severe grades or weight restrictions. Winter travel requires caution with snow and icy conditions from November through April. The campground closes mid-October through mid-May, restricting winter RV camping access.
