The Collier Logging Museum is an open-air museum at the park showcasing historic logging equipment and a relocated pioneer village. The Collier State Park Logging Museum showcases historic logging equipment from the late 1800s, as well as a relocated pioneer village. The Williamson River Trail is a short, mostly level path linking Collier's day-use area with Williamson River Campground. A 1.3 mile walking trail connects the two campgrounds. The Williamson River is one of Oregon's best-known trout streams, drawing fly anglers for its large redband and rainbow trout. Access points within the park provide bank fishing near the day-use area. Wading is easiest in mid to late summer when flows drop.
Spring Creek is a crystal-clear, spring-fed tributary that meets the Williamson River inside the park. The day-use picnic area sits beside the water with shaded tables beneath ponderosa pines. It is a popular spot for families and a good lunch stop while touring the logging museum.
Crater Lake National Park's south entrance is roughly an hour's drive north of Collier via Highway 97 and Highway 62. Rim Drive and Rim Village viewpoints offer the park's iconic lake vistas. Most of Rim Drive is seasonal and typically open from July through October.
The park borders the Fremont-Winema National Forest, which offers miles of Forest Service roads and trails for day hikes and scenic drives. Visitors can mountain bike on miles of Forest Service roads, go fishing, or explore day hike opportunities. Upper Klamath Lake, about 20 miles south of the park, is a key stop on the Pacific Flyway with excellent birdwatching for bald eagles, pelicans, and waterfowl. Several pullouts and wildlife refuge access points are along Highway 97. Spring and fall migrations are the most productive times to visit.

The park lies directly on U.S. Highway 97 about 30 miles north of Klamath Falls and roughly 5 miles north of Chiloquin, making access straightforward for RVs. From Bend, it is about 110 miles south on Highway 97, a mostly gentle high-desert drive with no major tunnels or steep passes. Drivers approaching from Medford via Highway 140 should plan for mountain grades crossing the Cascades. The nearest commercial airport for fly-and-rent trips is Klamath Falls (LMT), with Rogue Valley International in Medford and Redmond Municipal near Bend as larger alternatives.
