Crawford Notch State Park, NH, United States
The park sits on US Route 302 between Bartlett and Bretton Woods, about 30 minutes (20 miles) northwest of North Conway and roughly 2.5 hours (140 miles) north of Boston. From the west, drivers approach via Interstate 93 to Franconia Notch and then US 3 and US 302, a route that climbs steady mountain grades and narrows through Franconia Notch Parkway, where oversize RVs should check posted vehicle size limits. Route 302 itself through Crawford Notch is a winding, steep two-lane highway with tight curves and limited shoulders, so slow speeds and engine braking are recommended for larger motorhomes and towables. The nearest major fly-and-rent airports are Portland International Jetport in Maine (about 1.75 hours east) and Manchester-Boston Regional in New Hampshire (about 2 hours south).
