Best time to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The park sits between Cleveland (about 25 miles north, 30 to 45 minutes) and Akron (about 15 miles south, 20 to 30 minutes), with I-77, I-271, and I-80 (Ohio Turnpike) providing access. RV drivers should note that the Ohio Turnpike charges by axle and weight class, and some park roads like Riverview Road are narrow, winding, and include low clearances at rail and canal bridges. Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers, roughly 30 miles from the park. Akron-Canton Airport offers a smaller alternative to the south.
