Late spring through early fall is the prime window for RV travel, with May, June, and September offering warm lake temperatures and long daylight hours without peak-summer humidity. July and August bring the hottest weather and the busiest weekends, so reservations are strongly recommended. Shoulder months of March, April, and October deliver mild days, cooler nights, and lower campground occupancy, though storms and brief cold snaps are possible.

Lake Greeson is a 7,000-acre reservoir that is the centerpiece of Daisy State Park, with the park's boat ramp providing direct motorized access. Boaters use the lake for water-skiing, tubing, and cruising its long, fingered shoreline.
Lake Greeson supports largemouth, spotted, and striped bass along with walleye, crappie, bream, and catfish. Bank anglers can fish from the park shoreline while boaters work rocky points and coves across the reservoir.
The park's designated swim area offers a sandy beach with shallow entry into Lake Greeson, popular with families in summer. Picnic tables and grills line the shoreline nearby.
Kayakers and canoeists launch from the park to explore the many coves and tree-lined shoreline of Lake Greeson. Mornings are typically calmest for flatwater paddling.
Arkansas State Parks interpreters lead seasonal programs on local wildlife, Ouachita geology, and lake ecology. Schedules vary by season and are posted at the visitor contact station.

The RV was just as described and communication was wonderful. We enjoyed our time at the Lake, and this turn key option was unbeatable! Thank you

Daisy State Park, AR, United States
Daisy State Park sits directly on U.S. Highway 70 about 17 miles west of Glenwood and roughly 40 miles, about 50 minutes, from Hot Springs. From Little Rock, plan on about 100 miles and just over two hours via I-30 and U.S. 70, while Texarkana is roughly 90 miles to the southwest. Highway 70 is a two-lane route through rolling Ouachita terrain with some grades and curves, so large Class A rigs and trailers should drive at a relaxed pace and watch for logging trucks. The nearest commercial airport for fly-and-rent travelers is Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock.
