The park is about 8 miles northeast of Fort Payne, Alabama, roughly a 1.5-hour drive from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and about 2 hours from Birmingham or Huntsville. Access from I-59 involves a steep, winding climb up Lookout Mountain on AL-35 or county roads, so RV drivers should plan for low gears, check brakes, and avoid shortcuts on narrow mountain lanes. The nearest major airports for fly-and-rent trips are Chattanooga (CHA) and Birmingham (BHM).
