July and August offer the warmest weather, the highest lake temperatures for swimming and paddling, and full campground services at Texas Creek. Late June and early September make good shoulder seasons for RVers seeking quieter sites and cooler hiking conditions, though nights turn cold quickly. Winter access is very limited, with only informal cross-country skiing and snowshoeing around the Texas Creek area. Spring visitors should watch for wood ticks, which are common in grass and shrubs from March through June.

Christina Lake offers a safe swimming area with warm, clear water accessible from the Texas Creek Campground. Several pocket beaches of coarse sand, separated by shrubs and cottonwoods, are reached by a gentle 100 m gravel trail or steeper dirt paths down the bank. There are no lifeguards on duty. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/
The warm, clear water of Christina Lake is ideal for canoeing and kayaking. Paddlers can explore the north end of the lake from the Texas Creek boat launch and reach quiet pocket beaches otherwise inaccessible by road. Rentals are available at Christina Lake Marina. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/
The Deer Point Trail follows the shoreline of Christina Lake from Texas Creek through semi-open forest high above the water. The trail starts out steep, then levels off and rolls gently to Deer Point, where huge cedar trees and a sandy beach await at the north end of the lake. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/
Christina Lake supports a popular sport fishery for Kokanee, rainbow trout, and small-mouth bass. Anglers can launch boats at Texas Creek or fish from shore within the campground. A valid British Columbia freshwater fishing licence is required. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/
Christina Lake is a well-known waterskiing destination thanks to its warm, clear water and mountain setting. The boat launch at Texas Creek Campground is heavily used in summer, and additional rentals and launching are available at Christina Lake Marina. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/
The Mt. Gladstone Trail is a steep backcountry ascent that starts from the abandoned CPR railway grade north of Paulson on Highway 3. The route climbs through forest to viewpoints over the park, but trail maintenance has been reduced and users may encounter fallen trees or wash-outs. Check BC Parks advisories before setting out. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/
Gladstone Park contains more than 48 km of trails winding through the Selkirk Foothills. Most backcountry routes are unmarked and unmaintained, suitable for experienced hikers and horseback riders, and all are closed to motor vehicles including ATVs. Carry a map, bear spray, and extra supplies. bcparks.ca/gladstone-park/

Gladstone Provincial Park, BC, Canada
The Texas Creek Campground entrance is about 20 km northeast of Grand Forks via Highway 3, then 4 km south on East Lake Drive from the village of Christina Lake. From Kelowna the drive is roughly 3 hours, from Kamloops about 4.5 hours, and from Spokane, Washington about 2.5 hours via the border crossing at Cascade. Highway 3 crosses several mountain passes including Paulson Summit at 1,535 m, so RV drivers should watch for steep grades, sharp curves, and winter chain-up requirements. The nearest airport for fly-and-rent travellers is West Kootenay Regional Airport in Castlegar, about an hour east, with larger options at Kelowna International and Spokane International.
