Late spring through early fall is the prime window, with the park typically open to general visitors from late May through August and offering reduced fall hours into October. June through August brings warm Wisconsin weather, full interpreter programming, and special events such as historical reenactments. Shoulder months of May, September, and October are good for cooler temperatures and lighter crowds, though some buildings may be closed. Winter visits are limited to scheduled holiday events, as most of the site closes after fall.

Fort Howard is a restored early-1800s United States Army post anchoring the park, with reconstructed officers' quarters, hospital, and company kitchen. Costumed interpreters demonstrate military drills, period medicine, and frontier garrison life.
The Pioneer Area showcases early Wisconsin settler life through log cabins, the Tank Cottage (one of the oldest standing houses in the state), and trade buildings. Visitors can step inside furnished interiors and watch hearth-cooking demonstrations.
This area recreates a late-1800s Wisconsin village with a Belgian farmstead, one-room schoolhouse, country church, and general store. Demonstrations include butter-making, schoolroom lessons, and farm chores.
The Heritage Garden area features period-accurate kitchen and field gardens supporting on-site cooking and craft demonstrations. Interpreters share information on heirloom crops and historic foodways.
Heritage Hill hosts seasonal events including Civil War reenactments, Independence Day programs, and Spirits of Heritage Hill in fall. These events feature large-scale interpretation, music, and demonstrations across all four park areas.
Paved and grass pathways connect the historic buildings across the park's hillside grounds overlooking the Fox River. The loop is short, mostly level with gentle slopes, and suitable for most mobility levels.
Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is Green Bay's 700-acre urban wildlife refuge about 15 minutes north of Heritage Hill. The sanctuary offers free admission, easy nature trails, and a rehabilitation center, pairing well with a half-day at Heritage Hill.
Our family had a great stay in Taylor’s camper! It was clean, well equipped and he was great explaining everything to us when we arrived. We already booked it for next year!

I've rented his rv several times now and will continue to anytime im in the area. Excellent host and very clean and well equipped rv. He makes sure you know how everything works and where it is. He makes setting up and returning the rv is easy and confusion free. If you need an rv definitely look at him first except when I want to rent it of course.

The camper was great. It was clean and delivered and set up. There was enough blankets and pillows for all of us. The beds were comfy. Communication was always right away. Definitely will be booking again

Heritage Hill State Park, WI, United States
Heritage Hill sits on South Webster Avenue in Allouez, about 5 minutes (3 miles) south of downtown Green Bay via WIS-172 and WIS-57. Milwaukee is roughly 2 hours south on I-43, and Madison is about 2.5 hours via US-151 and I-41. The route is flat interstate and arterial driving with no mountain grades or major tunnels, so most RV classes can reach the park easily, but drivers should watch for low-clearance railroad bridges in older parts of Green Bay and use designated truck/RV routes. Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport is about 15 minutes away for fly-and-rent travelers.
