July and August are peak months and reservations fill quickly, especially on weekends. Red Bird Trail is a short wooded loop that passes a group of Indigenous effigy mounds on the escarpment bluff. The trail is relatively flat and suitable for most hikers, with interpretive signage along the route.
The Lime-Kiln Trail leads to the stone ruins of the early 1900s lime processing operation that once operated at the base of the cliff. The path winds through hardwood forest along the escarpment edge.
The park's 40-foot observation tower provides panoramic views across Lake Winnebago and the surrounding Fox River Valley. A short walk from the parking area makes it accessible for most visitors.
The park's sand beach offers swimming and lake access on the northeast shore of Lake Winnebago. Picnic areas and restrooms are adjacent to the beach parking lot.
High Cliff maintains a system of mountain biking and multi-use trails through wooded upland terrain above the escarpment. Trails include rolling singletrack suitable for intermediate riders.
A dedicated network of horse trails loops through the park's wooded uplands and prairie areas. Trailer parking is provided at the equestrian trailhead near the park's west side.
A public marina and boat launch at the base of the cliff offer access to Lake Winnebago for fishing, sailing, and powerboating. Walleye, perch, and white bass are common catches in the lake.
Our family had a great stay in Taylor’s camper! It was clean, well equipped and he was great explaining everything to us when we arrived. We already booked it for next year!

I've rented his rv several times now and will continue to anytime im in the area. Excellent host and very clean and well equipped rv. He makes sure you know how everything works and where it is. He makes setting up and returning the rv is easy and confusion free. If you need an rv definitely look at him first except when I want to rent it of course.

The camper was great. It was clean and delivered and set up. There was enough blankets and pillows for all of us. The beds were comfy. Communication was always right away. Definitely will be booking again

High Cliff State Park, WI, United States
The park is about 15 miles southeast of Appleton and roughly 25 miles northeast of Oshkosh, with drives of 20 to 35 minutes from either city. From the Milwaukee area it is roughly a 100 mile drive north via US-41 and WI-114, about 1 hour 45 minutes. The main park road climbs the Niagara Escarpment with moderate grades, so RV drivers should take the marked routes slowly and avoid shortcut roads with low clearance. Appleton International Airport (ATW) is the closest airport for fly-and-rent travelers.
