Late June through early September offers the most reliable weather for RV travel, lake swimming, and ATV riding, with long daylight hours and all facilities open. September brings cooler nights, fewer bugs, and early foliage color, which is a strong shoulder-season window for RVers. Winter draws snowmobilers once trails are groomed, but the campground is closed and access roads can be snow-covered. Spring mud season often limits trail use until late May.

The park is a primary gateway to Ride the Wilds, New Hampshire's connected ATV and OHRV trail system spanning hundreds of miles across the North Country. Riders can access long-distance loops directly from trailheads inside the park. A valid NH OHRV registration is required.
Jericho Lake offers a sandy beach, swimming area, and picnic grounds at the heart of the park. The day-use area has ample parking suitable for tow vehicles and smaller RVs. It is a popular family stop between rides.
Paddlers can launch kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards from the shoreline near the beach. The lake is calm and well suited to beginners. Small motorboats are also permitted under state rules.
Jericho Lake is stocked by NH Fish and Game and holds brook trout, rainbow trout, and warmwater species. Bank fishing is possible near the day-use area, and a launch supports small boat anglers. A New Hampshire fishing license is required.
Multi-use trails within the park climb through mixed hardwood forest and offer views toward the Presidential Range. Routes vary from gentle lakeside paths to longer climbs toward Jericho Mountain. Riders should watch for shared use with ATVs.
In winter, groomed snowmobile corridors connect the park to the broader New Hampshire trail system. Riders need a current NH snowmobile registration. Campground access is closed in winter, so day use is the norm.
The park sits within an easy drive of Mount Washington Auto Road, Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, and the Presidential Range trailheads. Travelers can combine a Jericho base camp with a White Mountains sightseeing day. Large RVs should park at the notch lots rather than attempt the Auto Road.

Jericho Mountain State Park, NH, United States
The park is in Berlin, New Hampshire, reached from the south via US Route 2 and NH Route 16 through Gorham, about a 15 minute drive from Gorham and roughly 2.5 hours from Manchester. From Boston it is about a 3.5 to 4 hour drive north via I-93 and I-95 connections. RV drivers should plan for mountain grades on Route 2 and the long climb up NH 16 through Pinkham Notch if approaching from the south, and should avoid narrow secondary roads in favor of state highways. The nearest commercial airport for fly-and-rent trips is Portland International Jetport in Maine, roughly 2 hours away, with Manchester-Boston Regional Airport as a larger alternative.
