The Crack is a challenging backcountry day hike ascending through massive tumbled boulders and white quartzite cliffs with panoramic ridge-top views. The route typically takes four to five hours depending on experience. Hikers must reserve via park permit system and start early. The summit offers panoramic views of Killarney Lake, OSA Lake, and Georgian Bay.
This 78-kilometre backcountry loop is one of Ontario's longest hiking trails, featuring the white quartzite ridges of the La Cloche Mountains and multiple campsites. The trail takes eight to ten days to complete and rewards hikers with diverse terrain, clear lakes, and solitude in a wilderness setting. Suitable for experienced backpackers with permit.
Killarney offers 50-plus interconnected lakes accessible via a network of portage routes. Canoe routes range from easy loops to challenging multi-day expeditions. The park has multiple access points, with the main access from George Lake Campground and outfitter services available. Beginner-friendly routes and advanced wilderness paddling are both available.
RV campers can access hiking and marine recreation along the park's Georgian Bay shoreline, featuring dramatic granite cliffs and clear waters. Day-use areas and beach access provide opportunities for swimming, photography, and shoreline walks without requiring backcountry permits.
The Bell Lake access point offers alternative entry to Killarney's interior with portage routes under one kilometre. This area is ideal for paddlers seeking easier carries and provides canoe rentals on-site through a local outfitter.
From December through March, the park opens select trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing when snow conditions permit. Visitors experience the park's quiet beauty and winter forest landscapes without summer crowds. Contact the park office for current winter trail conditions.
This was our first time with Lola but definitely not our last. The trailer was lovely and comfy, it came with all that we needed.

This was our third year renting Lola from Amélie, and once again, everything was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the trailer was spotless, fully stocked, and ready to enjoy — Amélie thinks of everything and makes the entire experience effortless. Lola is cozy, comfortable, and truly feels like a little home away from home. Every year we’re blown away by how well-maintained and thoughtfully set up it is. Amélie is warm, responsive, and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing. We’re already looking forward to year four! If you’re thinking of booking — do it. You won’t regret it.
