Late spring through early fall is the prime window for RV trips to Kincaid Lake, with May, June, and September offering warm days, comfortable nights, and full access to the campground, pool, marina, and golf course. July and August are the busiest months and can be hot and humid, so weekday arrivals and shaded loops are worth seeking out. Shoulder months in April and October bring cooler weather, thinner crowds, and excellent fall color on the ridges around the lake, though pool and marina services may be reduced. Winters are cold and quiet, and the campground typically closes outside the main camping season while day use remains available.

Kincaid Lake is a 183-acre no-wake reservoir that anchors the park and is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. The park marina offers small-boat rentals and a launch ramp with paved parking suitable for tow vehicles.
The park's main campground sits on a wooded ridge above the lake and offers electric and water sites, a central bathhouse, and a dump station. It is the primary base for RV renters exploring the park and the surrounding rural countryside.
The park operates a par-three, nine-hole golf course that is walkable and family-friendly. A small pro shop handles tee times and equipment rentals during the golf season.
Several short hiking trails wind through the ridges and coves surrounding Kincaid Lake, passing mixed hardwood forest and lake overlooks. Most trailheads are reachable from the main park roads with car and truck parking.
A seasonal swimming pool and multiple picnic shelters provide a break from the lake on hot summer days. Picnic areas are spread across the park with paved loop parking that fits most tow vehicles.
Family-oriented amenities include a miniature golf course and playgrounds near the pool and campground areas. They are easy add-ons for RV travelers camping with kids.
The town of Falmouth sits at the confluence of the Licking River's forks and is a short drive from the park. It offers small-town dining, local history stops, and river access for anglers and paddlers.
Easy, accommodating, comfy and all around great host and experience. Thank you for making our graduation weekend for our daughter fantastic.

Kincaid Lake State Park, KY, United States
The park sits in Pendleton County, Kentucky, roughly a 1 hour drive south of Cincinnati, Ohio and about 1.5 to 2 hours north of Lexington via I-75 and US 27. RV travelers typically approach from US 27 through Falmouth and then follow rural state routes east to the park entrance, so watch for narrow two-lane roads, a few steep grades, and tight turns on the final approach. There are no major tunnels or high mountain passes on standard routes, but weight-restricted county bridges on shortcut roads should be avoided in favor of US 27. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), about an hour north of the park.
