Late June through early September offers the warmest, driest weather and the most reliable conditions for camping at Kleanza Creek. July and August bring peak temperatures and the best swimming and canyon hiking, while early September combines fall color with quieter campsites. Fall visitors may also see migrating pink salmon spawning in the creek, making September a strong shoulder-season pick. Winter brings snow, and visitors can snowshoe in the park during the winter season, but camping facilities are not operated.
