Best time to visit Lake Pueblo State Park

Late April through early June and September through October offer the most comfortable conditions for RV travel, with warm days, cool nights, and fewer crowds than peak summer. July and August bring hot temperatures and the busiest boating weekends, so reservations fill far in advance. Winter camping is possible thanks to the park's lower elevation and mild climate, though overnight temperatures can drop below freezing. Shoulder seasons also provide the best wildlife viewing and trail conditions for cycling.
