Late May through early September is the prime window, with hot, dry weather ideal for swimming, boating, and waterfront camping. July and August offer the warmest river temperatures but also the busiest campground, so reservations fill quickly. Shoulder months of April, May, and October bring cooler nights, fewer crowds, and easier site availability, though some services may be reduced. Winter visits are quiet and mild by Washington standards, but overnight freezes can affect water hookups.

The park's roped-off swim area on Lake Entiat is the main summer attraction. Shallow entry, grassy shorelines, and picnic shelters make it family-friendly, and it is a short walk from the campground loops.
Lincoln Rock has a developed boat launch and moorage floats directly on the Columbia River reservoir. RVers towing boats will find ample trailer parking and easy access to flat-water cruising, waterskiing, and wakeboarding.
Anglers target bass, walleye, trout, and kokanee in the slow-moving reservoir stretch behind Rocky Reach Dam. Shoreline and dock access are available, and a Washington state fishing license is required.
Several miles of paved paths loop through the park and connect to riverside walking routes. They are well suited to easy walks, kids on bikes, and after-dinner strolls from campsites.
The Chelan County PUD's Rocky Reach Dam sits directly across the river and features a free museum, fish-viewing gallery, and riverside gardens. It is a short drive from the park via US 2/97.
This paved trail system follows both sides of the Columbia River through Wenatchee and East Wenatchee, about 10 miles south of the park. RV drivers can park at larger trailheads and ride miles of flat, scenic riverfront.
A 9-acre alpine-style garden perched on a bluff above the Columbia River near Wenatchee, about 20 minutes from the park. Stone paths, pools, and viewpoints showcase the valley and surrounding Cascade foothills.
Stayed in the camper for two nights at a campground just outside Wenatchee. Had everything we needed, the AC was an absolute saver in the summer heat. Host was incredibly responsive and nice, would happily rent again.

Best camping trip ever. We showed up at the camp site and everything was set up and hooked up. Very clean and well appointed. We will rent from them again.

Lincoln Rock State Park, WA, United States
The park sits along US Highway 2/97 on the east side of the Columbia River, about 7 miles north of Wenatchee and roughly 150 miles (about 2.5 hours) east of Seattle via US 2 over Stevens Pass. From Spokane it is about 170 miles (roughly 3 hours) west via US 2. RV drivers crossing the Cascades should plan for the long, steep grades of Stevens Pass on US 2 or Blewett Pass on US 97, both of which require chains in winter and can be slow for larger rigs; check WSDOT mountain pass reports before travel. The nearest commercial airport for fly-and-rent trips is Pangborn Memorial Airport in East Wenatchee, with larger service available at Seattle-Tacoma International.
