Best time to visit Linkletter Provincial Park

The park operates seasonally, typically from late June through early September, which is also the warmest and busiest stretch on PEI. July and August deliver the warmest ocean temperatures, long daylight hours, and full campground services, making them ideal for families and beachgoers. Late June and the first weeks of September offer a quieter shoulder window with cooler nights, fewer mosquitoes, and easier reservations for larger RV sites. Outside the operating season the park is closed to camping.

How to get to Linkletter Provincial Park

Linkletter Provincial Park is located off Route 11 about 10 kilometres west of Summerside, roughly a 15 minute drive, and about 70 kilometres (one hour) west of Charlottetown via the Trans-Canada Highway (Route 1) and Route 1A. From the mainland, RVers arrive via the Confederation Bridge from Cape Jourimain, New Brunswick, about 50 kilometres or 45 minutes away. The bridge has wind restrictions for high-profile vehicles and tolls are collected only when leaving the island, so plan fuel and length accordingly.
