Late June through early September is the most reliable window, with warm days, low rainfall, and fully clear roads for RV access. July and August bring the warmest temperatures and peak foliage on the Cobequid Hills. September and early October offer quieter conditions and fall colour, though nights cool quickly. The park is best avoided in winter and early spring when snow, ice, and mud can make the access road and picnic grounds unusable.

The park's primary use is roadside picnicking in a quiet, wooded setting. Tables and shade make it a practical rest stop for RV travellers crossing central Nova Scotia.
The Glooscap Trail follows Highway 2 along the Cobequid Bay and Minas Basin shore, passing Great Village, Economy, and Bass River. It offers Bay of Fundy tidal views and easy roadside stops suited to larger rigs.
Five Islands Provincial Park lies roughly 45 minutes southwest along Highway 2 and offers camping, beach access, and dramatic Fundy cliffs. It is a popular extension trip from the Londonderry area for RV travellers. parks.novascotia.ca/park/five-islands
Victoria Park in nearby Truro is a large urban nature park featuring waterfalls, gorges, and walking trails. Truro also provides full RV services within a short drive of Londonderry.
The Salmon River tidal bore near Truro is one of the Bay of Fundy's most accessible viewing spots. Twice-daily tide arrivals create a rolling wave upriver and make for a memorable short outing from the park.
Quiet rural roads north of Londonderry wind through forested hills once central to Nova Scotia's 19th-century iron industry. The area offers photogenic countryside and historic markers related to the former Londonderry ironworks.
Janice was excellent to deal with, quick to respond to any inquiry and delivered our RV on time as requested. We would absolutely use this service again. Thank you Janice.

This trip was amazing! It all started the day before we were supposed to pick up the RV, I was admitted into the hospital to have my appendix removed. Our hosts had a few days after we finished our original trip so they bumped it four days to accommodate our trip. We changed our plans but it worked out for the best. We traveled all around the south part of Nova Scotia, staying at The Ovens, Scallywags in Clare and then the last stop was at the campground at the Blomidon Lookoff. The RV was absolutely perfect from start to finish and for the size of it was very good on fuel. $465 for just over 1200km in a F-450, which is great fuel mileage. We normally go testing but tried this, our next testing camping trip will be horrible. Lol. We will feel spoiled. If you are considering this size of vehicle and this style of trip, this vehicle and host make the experience so much better! Book it while you can!

The rv was just the right size for our family of 5 to create a memorable trip. The rv is fully equipped, has plenty of power to climb and safely descend Cape Bretons Cabot trail and surroundings plus tons of little extras. We were actually impressed by the fuel consumption and handling of this rv. All being said, we agree with pretty much all the previous reviews. The host(s) were spot on and adaptive to our needs. Once again, no regrets going with RVezy.

Londonderry Provincial Park, NS, Canada
The park is reached via Highway 2 in central Nova Scotia, roughly 30 to 40 minutes west of Truro and about 1 hour 45 minutes from Halifax via Highway 102 and Highway 104. From Amherst and the New Brunswick border, the drive is approximately 1 hour along Highway 104. RV drivers should note that Highway 104 crosses the Cobequid Pass, a tolled mountain highway with long sustained grades where lower gears and extra braking distance are advised. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travellers is Halifax Stanfield International Airport, about 130 km to the southeast.
