Over 200 bird species inhabit the park's wetlands, forests, and shorelines. The Tower Trail is a 3.5 km return loop featuring a viewing tower and bird hide for excellent birdwatching opportunities. The park hosts the Huron Fringe Birding Festival in late May and early June.
This 6-kilometre easy trail follows the Lake Huron shoreline with scenic beach and water views. The trail connects to regional cycling routes and offers peaceful walking through the park's natural landscape.
MacGregor Point features two 50-metre beaches along Lake Huron where visitors can swim. Change facilities and picnic areas are available near the beaches for day-use visitors.
A small launch provides access to sheltered wetlands and protected sections of Lake Huron. Non-motorized boating is permitted, with calm waters ideal for paddling and wildlife viewing.
Multiple cycling routes are available throughout the park, connecting to regional trails such as the Rotary Way Trail to Port Elgin and the Saugeen Shores Rail Trail. Over 15 kilometres of off-road trails provide scenic cycling opportunities.
The park offers 11 kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks, snowshoeing opportunities, and outdoor ice skating on an oval. Winter camping is available year-round in heated yurts and rustic cabins.
Anglers can fish in Lake Huron and the park's wetlands for species including perch and bass. A valid Ontario fishing license is required to fish within the park.
