Late June through early September is the prime window, when the campground is fully operational with volunteer park hosts, the water taps are on, and the lake is warm enough for swimming and waterskiing. July and August offer the longest daylight and most reliable weather for boating on the lake. Late May and early September are quieter shoulder periods, though nights turn cold quickly and some services wind down after Labour Day. Winter visits are limited since campground services close, taps are shut off, and snow covers the region.

The park has a sandy swimming beach and marked swimming area on the south shore of Moberly Lake. There are no lifeguards on duty, so supervise children closely. The day-use area is wheelchair-accessible in places and sits a short walk from RV-friendly parking. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/moberly_lk/
Moberly Lake offers open water for motorboats, waterskiing and windsurfing. The park has a double boat launch with a large parking area sized for vehicles and trailers, making it practical for RVers towing a boat. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/moberly_lk/
Anglers can fish Moberly Lake for northern pike, Arctic grayling, lake trout and mountain and lake whitefish. A valid B.C. freshwater fishing licence is required, and lake trout have special regulations as a species of special concern. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/moberly_lk/
An easy walk along the lakeshore leads to benches for sunset views and an interpretation kiosk covering local flora, fauna and history. It is a relaxed option suited to all ages and accessible from the campground loop. bcparks.ca/moberly-lake-park/
Paddlers can launch canoes and kayaks directly from the park to explore the quieter bays of Moberly Lake. No rentals are located in the park, so bring your own boats on your RV or tow vehicle. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/moberly_lk/
The park is a productive area for songbirds and larger wildlife. Visitors may spot common loons, bald eagles, American kestrels, belted kingfishers and moose or black bear along the shore and in the surrounding spruce and aspen forest. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/moberly_lk/
The day-use area near the beach offers picnic tables and a reservable group picnic site. It is a convenient stop for families travelling by RV, with wheelchair-accessible facilities in parts of the area. bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/moberly_lk/
We had an exceptional stay in this Jayco trailer with our kids who enjoyed the bunks and camping experience. Great trailer layout, equipped with kitchen basics and supplies for the wknd. White clean crisp sheets on the queen bed, very impressive trailer. Owner very kind and quick with communication. Highly recommend!

Moberly Lake Provincial Park, BC, Canada
The park is reached via a 3 km paved access road off Highway 29, about 25 km northwest of Chetwynd. Dawson Creek lies roughly 100 km southeast (about 1.5 hours) and Fort St. John is about 110 km northeast (around 1.5 hours), both offering fuel and supplies for RVers. Highway 29 north of Chetwynd includes winding sections and hills through the Peace region foothills, so drivers of longer rigs should watch for slow-vehicle pullouts and keep an eye on weather in shoulder seasons. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travellers is Fort St. John Airport (YXJ), with a smaller regional strip at Dawson Creek.
