Best time to visit Nolte State Park

Late June through early September offers the warmest water for swimming, the most reliable dry weather, and the longest daylight for lakeside picnicking. Spring and early fall are quieter shoulder seasons with cool air, green forest, and good trout fishing, though swimming becomes chilly. Winter visits are possible on clear days but the lake is cold, rain is frequent, and some facilities may be limited.

We had such a great weekend camping in the Memory Maker! Danielle has thought of everything when it comes to making life easy while you are “roughing it”. We felt cozy and comfortable sleeping as a family of 5. It was easy to pull behind our Tahoe as well. Great experience all around, we already have our next trip booked!

Danielle is a great host! The trailer was wonderfully laid out and perfect for a family of four. It was very clean and everything worked perfectly! Our family had a great time and would definitely rent from Danielle again!

How to get to Nolte State Park

From Enumclaw, the park is about a 15 minute drive north via Farman Road and Veazie Cumberland Road, roughly 7 miles. From Seattle or Tacoma, plan on 60 to 90 minutes depending on traffic, and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport about 55 miles of mostly highway driving. The access roads are paved but narrow and winding through rural farmland with some tight turns, so larger Class A and fifth-wheel drivers should take the route slowly and watch for blind curves and low-speed rural intersections.
