Best time to visit Oak Mountain State Park

April, May, October, and early November are ideal, offering mild daytime temperatures, lower humidity, and colorful foliage in fall or wildflowers in spring. Summer brings hot, humid weather and higher campground demand, so early reservations are recommended for RVers. Winter is the quietest season with cool days and occasional freezes, but the park and campground remain open year round.
