Best time to visit Prince Edward Island National Park

Late June through August is the peak window for warm ocean swimming, full campground operations, and surf-guarded beaches. Summer is the most popular time to visit with beaches drawing large crowds, while spring and fall offer excellent biking, hiking and bird-watching. Shoulder months in June and September bring thinner crowds and cooler nights, ideal for RVers who want quieter campgrounds. The camping season runs from June to September, so trips outside that window require staying at private RV parks nearby.

First time renting a trailer and had a great first experience. The owners provided so much more than what is listed in their listing. From small kitchen appliances, cleaning supplies, dish ware, down to dvds for the dvd player. I could not have rented from better hosts. You will not be disappointed.

Just got home from an amazing trip that couldn’t have been better. The trailer eas dropped off and picked up at the exact times that they said it would. It was super clean and fully equipped with whatever you would need. Definitely recommending to other and will 100% book again.

How to get to Prince Edward Island National Park

The park sits along PEI's north shore, roughly a 25 to 40 minute drive from Charlottetown depending on which region you visit. It is easily accessible by car and only 24 kilometres from the provincial capital of Charlottetown. RVers arriving from the mainland can cross the Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick (about 13 km, with wind advisories and height limits for high-profile vehicles) or take the seasonal Wood Islands ferry from Nova Scotia. The three regions, Cavendish-North Rustico, Brackley-Dalvay, and Greenwich, are separated by bays and not directly connected by highways, so plan routing between areas in advance; Charlottetown Airport is the closest option for fly-and-rent trips.
