Late May through early October is the most comfortable window for RV travel, with warm days, open beach and boating, and reliable access to all campground loops. July and August bring the largest crowds and the busiest weekends, so shoulder dates in June and September offer cooler nights and easier reservations. Fall color in the Geauga County maples typically peaks in early to mid October and is a scenic time to visit. Winter stays are possible for self-contained rigs, but expect snow, limited services, and frozen hookups.
