How to get to Ricker Pond State Park

Ricker Pond State Park sits in the town of Groton in northeastern Vermont, reached via Vermont Route 232 between U.S. Route 2 to the north and U.S. Route 302 to the south. Montpelier is roughly 25 miles west, about 40 minutes by RV, and Barre is about 30 minutes away, while Burlington is around 75 miles northwest, close to a two hour drive. Route 232 is a two lane state road that climbs through Groton State Forest with moderate grades and curves, so drivers of larger motorhomes and trailers should take it slow and watch for wildlife. The nearest airports for fly and rent travelers are Burlington International Airport (BTV) and Lebanon Municipal Airport (LEB) in New Hampshire.
