Late May through early October is the prime window, when the campground is open, the Gorge Trail is accessible, and the swimming area is staffed. July and August bring the warmest water and busiest weekends, so reservations well in advance are recommended. Shoulder months like June and September offer cooler hiking, smaller crowds, and strong waterfall flow after rain. Winter visits are day-use only and limited to the Rim Trail and upper park areas.

The Gorge Trail is the park's signature hike, following Enfield Creek past several waterfalls, including 115-foot Lucifer Falls. The stone-and-stair route climbs through the glen from the lower park to the upper park and is usually open from late spring through fall. RV parking is available at both trailheads.
The Rim Trail traces the wooded top of the gorge and offers overlooks of Lucifer Falls and the glen below. It is open year-round and pairs with the Gorge Trail for a loop of roughly 3 miles. Trailhead parking accommodates larger vehicles at the upper park.
The lower park features a stream-fed swimming area set beneath a small waterfall, a classic Finger Lakes experience. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, and changing rooms and restrooms are located nearby. Day-use parking is a short walk from the swim area.
The historic Old Mill sits at the upper park near Lucifer Falls and interprets the area's 19th-century milling history. The short walk to the overlook is accessible for most visitors and is a good stop before or after hiking the gorge.
The park has picnic areas in both the upper and lower sections, with tables, grills, and pavilions set along the creek. Several pavilions can be reserved in advance, making it a practical midday stop during an RV tour of the Finger Lakes.
Enfield Creek is stocked with trout and open to fishing with a valid New York State license. Anglers commonly fish the stretches above and below the gorge where access is easier. Parking areas near the upper park make gear hauling from an RV straightforward.
Robert H. Treman pairs well with Buttermilk Falls State Park and Taughannock Falls State Park, both within a short drive. Using the Treman campground as a base lets RV travelers sample multiple gorges and waterfalls in one trip. Each neighboring park has RV-accessible day-use parking.
Great rental experience, super easy to deal with Joel. He explained everything in detail before leaving.

Joel was great to deal with. Rv was clean, and everything was in working condition and ready to go. Everything was as stated in the rental ad. 10/10 would rent again!

Robert H. Treman State Park, NY, United States
The park is about 5 miles southwest of downtown Ithaca via NY Route 13 and NY Route 327, roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive. Binghamton is about 60 miles to the southeast (about 1.5 hours), Syracuse is about 65 miles north (around 1.5 hours), and Rochester is roughly 95 miles northwest (about 2 hours). RV drivers should be aware of steep grades on the approach roads into the glen, narrow sections near the Old Mill, and tight turns in the lower-park picnic loops. The nearest commercial airport for fly-and-rent trips is Ithaca Tompkins International Airport, with larger options in Syracuse and Elmira.
