Sadlers Creek State Park, SC, United States
The park sits off Interstate 85 near exit 11, roughly 15 minutes from Anderson, South Carolina, about 1 hour from Greenville, 2 hours from Atlanta, Georgia, and around 2.5 hours from Charlotte, North Carolina. Access roads are paved two-lane state and county routes with no tunnels or steep mountain grades, making the drive straightforward for large motorhomes and fifth wheels. RVers should watch for a few tight turns and low-speed residential sections on the final approach from US 29. The closest major airport for fly-and-rent trips is Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), about an hour away.
Spring, from April through May, and fall, from late September through early November, offer the most comfortable weather for RV camping, with warm days, cooler nights, and lower humidity. Summer brings hot, humid conditions and peak demand for lakeside sites, so reservations are essential from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Winter is the quietest season with mild days and occasional freezes, a good option for RVers who want solitude on the lake.

Lake Hartwell is a 56,000-acre reservoir known for largemouth and striped bass, crappie, catfish, and bream. The park provides direct shoreline access and a boat ramp suitable for most trailered boats.
Launch from the park's boat ramp for open-water boating, kayaking, or canoeing on Lake Hartwell. The sheltered coves near the park are well suited to paddle craft, while the main lake opens up for motorboats and skiing.
The park maintains short, mostly flat nature trails that wind through pine and hardwood forest along the lakeshore. Trails are suitable for walkers and families and connect campground areas with picnic spots.
Shaded picnic areas and shelters sit along the shoreline with views across Lake Hartwell. Tables and grills make it easy to set up a meal between RV activities, and shelters can be reserved for groups.
Informal swimming is available from the park's shoreline during warmer months, with gentle slopes into the reservoir. There is no lifeguarded beach, so visitors swim at their own risk.
The park's mix of pine woods, hardwood stands, and lake edge attracts songbirds, waterfowl, wading birds, and raptors such as osprey and occasional bald eagles. Early morning near the shoreline is the most productive time.
Anderson, about 15 minutes away, offers restaurants, groceries, and historic downtown blocks for a break from the campground. The city makes a convenient resupply stop for longer RV stays.
Exceptional experience- very clean, thoughtfully stocked camper. Christian was responsive and very helpful at the drop off and pick up. Prompt and courteous, would definitely reserve again

My Family and I had a Blessed Time camping with Friends! Thanks to Christian - His prompt professional actions/responses were exactly what we needed to elevate our weekend Fellowship! We had multiple RV vendors, we had multiple camp sites reserved near “Host” site and a variation of experiences - seasoned campers as well as beginners/virgin campers. The group voted Christian’s “Campsite Reserve” RV the overall Best!!! My Family 💯% Agree!!!
