How to get to Spanish River Provincial Park

The nearest major city is Sault Ste. Marie, approximately 208 kilometres (3 hours) east. Spanish, a small community at the river mouth, is about 150 kilometres (2 hours) from Sault Ste. Marie. Access is by canoe shuttle from Duke Lake, The Elbow, or Biscotasi Lake, or by VIA Rail to multiple drop-off points along the river. There are no road-access campgrounds. RV renters can stage from Sault Ste. Marie or rent canoes locally. The nearest airport is Sault Ste. Marie Regional Airport.
