Late June through early September offers the warmest temperatures, the longest daylight, and the most reliable dry weather for coastal stops along the Eastern Shore. July and August bring peak visitation but also the best ocean conditions for beachcombing and paddling nearby. Late May, early June, and September are good shoulder options with cooler air, fewer bugs later in the season, and quieter roads. The park is not maintained for winter use, and services are generally unavailable outside the summer operating season.

The park offers a quiet roadside picnic area with views of Spry Bay and the Eastern Shore coastline. It is a simple spot to break up a drive along Marine Drive and take in the granite and spruce scenery.
Taylor Head Provincial Park, a short drive east near Spry Harbour, features long white-sand beaches and coastal hiking trails totalling roughly 17 km of marked routes. RV parking is available at the main lot, with vault toilets and picnic areas.
Tangier, about 20 minutes west on Highway 7, is the main launch point for guided paddling trips into the 100 Wild Islands archipelago. Outfitters run half-day and multi-day tours suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers.
Memory Lane in Lake Charlotte recreates a 1940s Nova Scotia coastal community with restored buildings and costumed interpreters. It is a family-friendly stop with ample parking for larger vehicles.
In nearby Sheet Harbour, a short boardwalk leads to viewpoints over the East River cascades. The trail is level and accessible, and the town offers fuel, groceries, and dump-station access useful for RV travellers.
Clam Harbour, about 45 minutes west, is a wide sandy beach known for its annual sandcastle competition and supervised swimming in summer. The day-use lot accommodates RVs and has washrooms and picnic facilities.
Spry Bay sits directly on Marine Drive, one of Nova Scotia's signature coastal touring routes. RV travellers can string together fishing villages, lighthouses, and pocket beaches between Musquodoboit Harbour and Canso.

Spry Bay Provincial Park, NS, Canada
The park is on Highway 7 (Marine Drive), roughly 130 km (about 1 hour 45 minutes) east of Halifax and about 30 km southwest of Sheet Harbour. Halifax Stanfield International Airport is the nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travellers, at roughly 100 km by road. Highway 7 is a two-lane rural coastal road with some narrow shoulders, blind curves, and moose warning zones, so RV drivers should reduce speed at dusk and dawn and plan fuel stops in Musquodoboit Harbour, Tangier, or Sheet Harbour. There are no tunnels or mountain passes on the route, but bridges over tidal inlets can be narrow for wider rigs.
