Late June through August brings the warmest weather, with reliably open beaches, boat launch access, and evenings ideal for swimming and fishing from the lakeshore. Visitors can fish for rainbow trout either by boat or by casting from shore, and the best time to fish is either in early spring or most evenings throughout the summer. September offers cooler temperatures, thinner crowds, and crisp fall colour in the aspen and birch. Winter visits are possible for day use and cross-country skiing, though overnight RV camping is not supported in the off-season.

Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park, BC, Canada
The park is located approximately 12 km north of Quesnel on Highway 97, making access straightforward for RVs on a paved highway with no tunnels or low-clearance restrictions on the approach. Prince George is roughly 120 km (about 1.5 hours) to the north, and Williams Lake is about 120 km (1.5 hours) to the south. Drivers coming from the Lower Mainland face a long haul of roughly 640 km from Vancouver via the Fraser Canyon or Coquihalla, with steep grades on either route, so plan fuel stops and check brakes before descending into the Cariboo. The nearest airport for fly-and-rent travellers is Quesnel Regional Airport (YQZ), with Prince George Airport (YXS) offering more commercial service.
