Mid-June through August is the prime window for RV travel, with long daylight hours, warm days, and all campground services open. Early summer brings high water that makes the falls especially powerful, while late August and early September offer cooler nights, fewer bugs, and the start of fall colour in the boreal forest. Black flies and mosquitoes peak in June, so RVers visiting early in the season should come prepared with screens and repellent. The campground typically operates from the May long weekend into September, with limited access outside those months.

The park's signature attraction is a pair of pedestrian suspension bridges that cross the Grass River above the falls. Short walking paths connect the bridges to the day-use parking area, giving close-up views of the cascading whitewater below.
Wekusko Lake is a well-known northern Manitoba fishery offering walleye, northern pike, lake trout, and whitefish. A boat launch in the park provides easy access, and shore fishing is possible near the falls outflow.
The park sits along the historic Grass River canoe route used by Indigenous peoples and fur traders. Paddlers can launch from the park for day trips on Wekusko Lake or connect to longer multi-day routes through the Grass River corridor.
The day-use area offers picnic tables, shelters, and waterfront access near the falls. It is a convenient stop for RV travellers on the way through northern Manitoba.
The boreal forest and riverside habitat support moose, black bear, beaver, bald eagles, and a variety of waterfowl. Early morning and evening near the lakeshore and quieter park roads are the best times for viewing.
A sandy swimming area along Wekusko Lake gives campers a place to cool off on warm summer afternoons. The beach is a short walk from the campground loop.

Wekusko Falls Provincial Park, MB, Canada
The park is reached via Provincial Road 392, a paved highway that branches north off Provincial Trunk Highway 39 near Wabowden. From Winnipeg the drive is roughly 725 kilometres and takes about 9 hours via Highways 6 and 39, while Thompson is about 225 kilometres north and Flin Flon about 230 kilometres northwest. RV drivers should plan fuel stops carefully because services are widely spaced in northern Manitoba, watch for wildlife on the highway at dawn and dusk, and be ready for frost-heaved pavement and gravel shoulders. The nearest airport for fly-and-rent travellers is Thompson (YTH), with Winnipeg (YWG) the main hub for larger RV rental selection.
