Late May through early October is the most comfortable window, with warm days, dry weather, and the swim beach and water access in full use. July and August are the busiest months, so reservations are strongly recommended for RV sites. Shoulder months such as May, September, and October bring cooler nights, lighter crowds, and excellent cycling weather on the Apple Capital Loop Trail. Winter visits are possible but cold, with freezing overnight temperatures and occasional snow.

The Apple Capital Loop Trail is a paved, flat 10-mile path along both sides of the Columbia River that passes directly through Wenatchee Confluence State Park. It is ideal for biking, walking, and running, with river views, bridges, and easy access from the campground. RV parking is available at the park trailhead.
Horan Natural Area is a wetland preserve inside the park with interpretive trails through cottonwoods, ponds, and riparian habitat. It is a top birdwatching spot in the region, with herons, waterfowl, and songbirds. Trails are flat and family-friendly.
The park has a designated swim beach on the Columbia River with a sandy shoreline, shade trees, and picnic facilities. It is popular on hot summer days and sits a short walk from the RV loop.
A paved boat launch provides access to the Columbia River for powerboating, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. The wide, calm water near the confluence is beginner-friendly for paddlers.
Anglers fish the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers for salmon, steelhead, bass, and walleye depending on the season. A current Washington fishing license and knowledge of local regulations are required.
The park includes tennis courts, sand volleyball, basketball, soccer fields, and a baseball field, making it a good choice for families with active kids. Facilities are close to the campground loops.
Just a short drive north on US-97A, Ohme Gardens is an alpine-style garden built onto a bluff overlooking the Columbia River, and Rocky Reach Dam offers a visitor center, museum exhibits, and picnic grounds. Both sites make easy half-day trips from the park.
Stayed in the camper for two nights at a campground just outside Wenatchee. Had everything we needed, the AC was an absolute saver in the summer heat. Host was incredibly responsive and nice, would happily rent again.

Best camping trip ever. We showed up at the camp site and everything was set up and hooked up. Very clean and well appointed. We will rent from them again.

Wenatchee Confluence State Park, WA, United States
The park sits on the north edge of Wenatchee, Washington, reached via US-2 and Easy Street, about 2 hours 20 minutes east of Seattle over Stevens Pass and roughly 2 hours 30 minutes west of Spokane. RV drivers crossing the Cascades on US-2 should plan for long mountain grades, tight curves, and winter chain requirements at Stevens Pass, and US-97 over Blewett Pass is another steep option. There are no tunnels or weight-restricted bridges on the direct approach, but fuel stops are limited between mountain towns. The nearest airport for fly-and-rent trips is Pangborn Memorial Airport in East Wenatchee, with larger service through Seattle-Tacoma International.
